“Assessment on the Student Services of Cordillera Career

Development College”

Adviser: Jaylo K. Lacaden

This study was conducted to assess the student

services offered by Cordillera Career Development College

to students. Specifically, the study sought to assess the

degree of familiarity of students on services offered by

CCDC through the Academic Support Offices, Student

Services Offices particularly on student welfare and

student development, level of satisfaction of students on

services offered in terms of timeliness of service,

overall quality of service, and helpfulness and

courteousness of staff/personnel.

Quantitative approach was used to determine the

data. Questionnaires were utilized to elicit the

respondents’ perception on the services rendered.

v
Furthermore, informal interviews were conducted to

supplement the gathered data. A total of three hundred

ninety-nine (399) students from the different colleges

participated as respondents in this study.

Findings revealed that the students are familiar

with the student services offered by the school. They

perceive the Registrar and MIS office, Guidance and

Counseling, Medical and Dental Office as very familiar.

Meanwhile, the Multi-faith Services followed by the

Performing Arts and Special Events, and the Student

Publication are familiar. Moreover, it is found out in

the study that the College of Teacher Education is more

familiar with the services offered compared to other

departments. As to the level of satisfaction on the

services offered, it was noted that the students were

satisfied as to the timeliness of service, courteousness

and helpfulness of staff/personnel, and the overall

quality of service. However, there was no significant

difference in the perception of the five groups of

respondents as to the level of satisfaction.

Based on the findings, it was recommended that the

school administration may consider requiring each

vi
department or office to exert more effort in informing or

orienting students about their services, consider

formulating a systematized customer satisfaction survey

on each of the offices or departments within CCDC

adopting the proposed survey material by the researchers,

and other researchers may improve the study by conducting

a follow-up study utilizing the qualitative design to

validate or to further explain the results of the survey.
