For 1 TMT of crude oil = Rs. 0.45502 Crore = 45.502 lakhs

1 metric tonne of crude oil = 1100 litres

Therefore 1 TMT = 1100*1000= 11*105 litres

1 litre of crude oil price = 45,50,200/1100*1000

= 4.136Rs.

Diesel from 213932 TMT crude oil = 213932*0.26

= 55622.32 TMT

Approximately diesel produced from crude oil imported 2016-17 = 55622.32 TMT

If 20% of diesel is replaced by CFAD biodiesel then diesel saved will be = 55622.32*0.2

= 11,124.464 TMT

1 litre diesel at bunk cost around Rs.70

Cost saved by the use of CFAD = 11124.464*1000*1000*70

= Rs. 77,871.248 Crore
