Day 1: Introduction to IC Engine Technology
• Introduction to a program
• Introduction to Indian Automotive Industry, Scenarios & Employ ability
• Role of Engine
• Classification of Engines
• Design criteria based on Vehicle
• Adv & Dis Adv of various engines
IC Engine Sub systems
• Power Drive system / Cylinder, Piston, Piston pin, CR, CS, Cam Shaft, Push rod
• Air Intake, Exhaust, pollution control System / Turbine, compsr, inter cooler, Air
filter
• Cooling, Lubrication system / Radiator, Radiator fan, lub oil pump
• Fuel Supply, Fuel management system / Fuel tank, Filter, pump, injector, nozzle
• Electronic Management system / Various sensors, parameters governing the
engine performance

Motor Bike Engineering & Technologies


Day 6: Motor Cycle Chassis Engineering
• Industry overview and Employability opportunities available in bike manufac-
tures in India.
• Other sectors opportunities like Motor sports, Remodeling etc..
Aerodynamics, aesthetics and ergonomics
• Fairing / bodywork design and construction. Cd values, Interactions with air-
flow. Stability, Rider comfort
Motorcycle dynamics
• Steering kinematics, roll motion, rake, trail, pitch, camber effects, steering
angles, suspension dynamics, degrees of freedom, effects of sprung and
unsprung masses, braking, cornering, acceleration considerations.
Motorcycle steering and suspension systems
• Hydraulic damping, cartridge forks, shim stacks, Oil/gas damping, Paralever,
A-Frame, Hub-centre steering, Rear Suspension, Single sided, single damper,
Multi Damper
Day 7 – Automotive Industry Visit** – Visit to Automobile OEM or Tier1 or Tier
2 Supplier Company to learn latest technologies and techniques used in Industry
for manufacturing.
Overview of Advanced Motor Cycles Technologies
• Superbikes
• ABS
• Multiple valve technologies, SAI Systems.
• Advanced bike systems.
Day 8 - Project Presentation
Solution/Project presentation – Peer to Peer learning Day – Learn from your
other fellow participants about the projects they are working on and vice versa.
• Best Teams will be selected and awarded “Winner of AISI Summer’19” with
prizes.
• Best Students who perform well throughout the Program will get “Best Intern
Award” and certificate of Excellence.

Hands-on Lab
Hands on Training in Different Automobile Engines and some of the sub systems
