Verbal Tense: Future

1. Simple Future
The simple future is used mainly to talk about actions that will happen in the future.
Structure Grammar
His structure is subject + will + verb
Ex.: I will expose in the English class.
This auxiliary can be contracted with the pronouns removing the two first letters (wi) and putting a
diaresis in the pronoun plus these two ells.
Ex.: I’ll; You’ll; He’ll; She’ll; We’ll; They’ll; It’ll.
Negation
The negation in the simple future is done adding the adverb “not” between the will and the verb.
Subject + will + not + verb
Ex.: I will not expose in the English class.
For contractions, is used won’t.
Ex.: I won’t expose in the English class.
Interrogative
In the interrogative form, is added will before of the subject and is added the interrogative sign.
Will + subject + verb
Ex.: Will I expose in the English class?
2. Future Continuous
The future continuous is used to talk about action that will happen in the future and have a duration.
Structure Grammar
Subject + will be + verb-ing
Ex.: You will be working in this job.
Negation
The negation is done adding “not” after of “will”.
Subject + will + not + be + verb-ing
Ex.: You will not be working in this job.
Interrogative
Is done inverting the aux “will” with the subject, leaving “be” after of the subject.
Ex.: Will you be working in this job?
3. Future “going to”
This tense is used to talk about actions that are planned in the future, like plans and intentions.
S.G: Subject + am/is/are + going to + verb
Ex.: Susan is going to work in London.
The contraction can be done converting "going to" to "gonna".
Ex.: Tonight is gonna be a good night.
Negative
Is done added “not” after of verb to be and before of “going to”.
S.G: Subject + am/is/are + not + going to + verb
Ex.: Susan is not going to work in London.
Interrogative
To the interrogative form, is done inverting the subject with the verb to be.
S.G: Am/is/are+ subject + going to + verb in infinitive
Ex.: Is Susan going to work in London?
4. Perfect Future
This tense is used to refer to actions that will finish at a certain time in the future.
S.G: Subject + will have + verb in past participle
Ex.: Tomas will have eaten before go to work.
Negative
To make a negative sentence, is added “not” between will and have.
S.G: Subject + will not have + verb in p.p.
Ex.: Tomas will not have eaten before go to work.
Interrogative
Is done inverting the aux “will” with the subject.
S.G: Will + subject + have + verb in p.p.
Ex.: Will Tomas have eaten before go to work?
5. Perfect Future Continuous
Is used to talk about actions that can be started in the past will continue until a moment in the future.

S.G: Subject + will have been + verb-ing
Ex.: When the train arrives, you will have been waiting during two hours.
Negative
Like the other tenses, the negative sentence is done adding the adverb “not” between the aux “will” and
the verb.

Ex.: When the train arrives, you will not have been waiting during two hours.
Interrogative
It forms inverting “will” with the subject
S.G: Will + subject + have been + verb-ing
Ex.: When the train arrives, will you have been waiting during two hours?
