INFERENCE

I did my internship in the session court under an advocate. During my

internship I must say I have successfully fulfilled all objectives of my
internship. From the 31 days of internship in the court I inferred or
learned many things based on customary marriage and divorce. I have
learned about the subject marriage and divorce in details and its court
proceeding.
I also saw that there are various problems faced by the parties to the
suits and the overtime consuming system of judiciary which can be
shown as a defect.

Personal Learning from Internship

The internship programme provided a great opportunity for learning

theories as well as practical applications of laws. The central focus of the
internship was studying, understanding and analysing the proceedings in
a legal office. During my study I have tried to learn various aspects
dealing with intricacies in a legal office and learnt procedural
implementations out of it.
Proceedings are summary in nature and endeavour is made to grant relief
to the parties in the quickest possible time keeping in mind the spirit of
the Act, which provides for disposal of the cases within possible time
schedule prescribed under the Act.
During my course of internship, I was made to read the cases which
were present in the office from earlier to understand the range of cases
which comes up in the law firm. I was made to sit next to the advocates
while the jotting down the clients for office uses to give me the
knowledge of how to go about in the future. I attended the counselling
sessions which takes place where both the parties were called upon and
negotiation to settle the respective cases takes place. I was also given a
chance to attend the lectures given by C.S. Srinivas.

Constraints encountered in the Internship

Every pursuit to gain knowledge must face some hurdles. Those hurdles
test our flexibility as well as our determination towards our goal.
Limitation of time: Due to time limitation, I could not work more on
cases and assist my supervisor. It was also slightly difficult for me to
understand the new legislations.
Personal issues: Due to the change in climatic conditions I suffered from
fever plus cough & cold
The constraints encountered during the internship programme were not
strong enough to affect the quality of the learning to significant extent.

Recommendations

The Internship learning is something much more than mere fulfilment of

the requirement the University. It is rather an enlightened experience
with flow of thoughts and suggestions.
Here are some of the recommendations which might foster the spirit of
Law Firm: -
Spreading awareness about provisions given under laws enacted in
the country in villages & remote Areas.
People residing at the rural areas are mostly unaware of the laws which
are directed towards their safety and security. Thus, they become easy
prey at the hands of people who follow unfair or inhuman practices.

Conclusion

In this short period of internship program learning maximum number of

things was not possible. So, according to my standard, calibre and
capacity and limitation of time, I was allotted with work. The knowledge
that I got here will be very valuable for me during my legal studies and
legal pursuit.
I have also learned and explored, analysed and dealt with the cases
relating to Criminal Law. In a broader way, I learned so many new
things which were quite new to me.
