I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. identify the difference between parallelism and faulty parallelism ;


b. write the correct use of parallelism through forming the balance sentence structure; and
c. appreciate the importance of parallelism through writing a short essay.

D. Concepts: Parallelism is the placement of equal ideas in words, phrases, or clauses of
similar types.

III. Procedure

A. Preparatory Activity

2. Review
The teacher will ask questions about sentence pattern.

3. Motivation
The class will be grouped into two groups. Each group will have to arrange
the words inside the envelop to form two sets of sentences. The group that
will finish first will be declared as a winner.

B. Developmental Activity
1. Presentation of the lesson
The teacher will present the lesson “Parallelism”.
2. Discussion
The teacher will discuss the lesson through analyzing the given sentences
provided by the teacher.
3. Generalization
What is parallelism?
How about faulty parallelism?
4. Application

The teacher will instruct the students to make an essay about the topic they will
choose.
