Deskripsyon ng Ang asignaturang ito ay binubuo ng mga mahahalagang kaalamang nauukol sa paglinang ng panitikan sa Filipino at sa Pagtataya ng Panitikan sa loob at
Kurso labas ng paaralan. Saklaw din dito ang mga estratehiyang gagamitin ng guro sa pagtuturo ng panitikan bilang isang mabisang guro sa Filipino. Ang
unang bahagi ay nauukol sa pagtuturo, ang ikalawang bahagi naman ay sumasailalim sa tradisyunal o pormal na pagtataya. Ang pagtatayang di-
tradisyunal o alternatibong pagtataya ang pinakahuling bahagi ng araling ito.
