Responsibilities as QC Microbiologist–

1. To monitor the microbiological parameters of Finished Product, Packing material,


Environmental monitoring of control areas, water etc. and to initiate CAPA in case of
non-compliance.
2. To monitor the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation process through regular
swabbing of product contact equipment surface.
3. To monitor personnel hygiene and create awareness about good hygienic practices.
4. To monitor effective cleaning of water system as per frequency and procedure.
5. To monitor adequate inventory of testing tools/ glass ware / testing aids.
6. Calibration and validation of all equipment in microbiology lab as per frequency and
procedure
7. Sampling of Finished product. Water, waste water, compressed air, nitrogen etc. for
external testing and review of test results, feedback to concerned personnel.
8. To carry out the fumigation activity as per frequency and site specific procedure.
9. To review Batch record, monitor n RFT, data entry and provide feedback to
Production/ Quality Manager on day to day basis.
10. To conduct microbiological ongoing stability testing as per frequency and procedure.

PROJECT

Project - Checking the antimicrobial activity of Solanum surrentense ; a native plant of


Rajasthan, against various food and water born microbes at M.D PG College, SriGanganagar
(Rajasthan).

Duration – 9 months (July '13 to March ‘14).

Description -
• Extract the sap from various parts of plant.
• Sub culture the different microbial strains.
• Study the antimicrobial activity through disc diffusion method
• We found that plant has antimicrobial activity against many strains.
