PLEDGE OF CONFORMITY WITH THE UNIVERSITY RULES

I enrolled in the University of Makati, fully aware that it is my duty and responsibility to comply with its
rules and regulations and promise to do the following:

1. I will be honest, courteous, and respectful to my fellow students, employees, authorities in the University;
2. I will properly wear the prescribed uniform of my College while in the campus;
3. I will always wear my ID within the University premises;
4. I will behave and conduct myself properly, whether inside or outside the University;
5. I will help preserve and maintain cleanliness in the campus and will follow the “CLEAN AS YOU GO
(CLAYGO)” policy;
6. I will abide the policy on jaywalking along J.P. Rizal and inside the campus premises;
7. I will never be under the influence of dangerous and prohibited drugs and alcoholic drinks while in the
University premises;
8. I will inform school authorities on the presence of intruders in the campus;
9. I promise to report any member of the University Community engaged in nefarious activities in the campus;
10. I will abide all academic and other policies of the school as well as the rule of conduct stated in the Student
Manual;
11. I promise to uphold the vision-mission and core values of the school, obey all the rules and regulations of
the University as well as the laws of the country;
12. I will actively participate and support the activities of Recognized Student Organizations, University of
Makati Student Council and of my College and the University;
13. I will not be deliberately involved in any quarrel with any member of the University community;
14. I will not use profane or improper language and I will not shout or speak in a loud voice anywhere while on
the campus;
15. I will not commit vandalism, destroy or deface any school property;
16. I will not carry any deadly weapon or explosives;
17. I will not read or carry pornographic materials;
18. I will not play cards and/or any form of gambling within the university premises;
19. I will not participate directly or indirectly in any illegal assembly, barricade, boycott, rally or the like, which
tend to disrupt classes;
20. I will not smoke within and outside the university premises;
21. I am not and will not be a member or supporter of any subversive or illegal associations, nor of any
organization not recognized by the University, especially fraternities and sororities, which under the rules
is punishable by dismissal;
22. I will be subjected for disciplinary sanction for any violation committed.
