1. April 2012 when group of skilled


workers in hinatuan was organized by
Mr. Orquita, Mr. Canedo and Mr.
Samillan. The organization was takes
place in the residence of Mr. Canedo
and there were 29 original members
when this association started. The
Association was then named
“HINATUAN SKILLED WORKERS
ASSOCIATION” or HINASKI-
WORASS.

2. June 2012, HINASKI-WORASS was registered at the Department of


Labor and Employment (DOLE) Tandag City, Surigaodel Sur under Reg. Certificate
No. CARAGA-SDS-2012-06-WA-063.

3. July 2012, the association engaged in LUY-A CULTURE but failed due to
Pablo Typhoon.

4. August 2012, the officers and members formally took their oath of office
and the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Candelario J. Viola, Jr. as the administering officer.

5. October 2012, the President Mr. Danle Orquita and Mr. Luisito Sarsua,
Member, BOD attended a 3 day training on Organic Farming held at the Agricultural
Training Institute (ATI) at Butuan City. In the same month, the association
engaged in CANDLE MAKING with a starting Capital of P12,900.00. The said
project was not sustained because the produce candles that is disposed is considered
as collectibles and payment can be collected only when it is already sold. However
the association have collected an amount of P8,950.00 at the end of December 2012.

6. January 2013, the association have decided to engaged in Vermi Culture


and Composting. Utilizing the P8,950.00 Cash on Hand, HINASKI-WORASS were
able to establish Multi-purpose kamalig, Vermi House, Vermi Beds and having procure
5 kilos of worms or vermi (ANC) at Butuan City.
7. Later, in the middle 2013, HINASKI-WORAS were able to identify a shared…

8. With this VISSION and MISSION, the association was encouraged to look
for opportunity that might help the organization to improve and sustain the project.
DOLE have answered our needs in the acquisition of Bio-Shredder and other FARM
EQUIPMENT for use in the production of Organic Fertilizer through Vermi Culture
and Composting.

9. December 2013, DOLE approved


and released the check in a form of Grant in
the amount of P420,500.00 for the purchase
of Bio Shredder and other FARM EQUIPMENT
to HINASKI-WORASS thru the LGU
HINATUAN as ACP in Butuan City during the
80th anniversary celebration of DOLE.l

10. May 2014 when implementation of the project was completed. It was
then that the production processes of the organic fertilizer become a little bit
faster, easy and convenient.
11. June to December 2014,
the association focuses on the
production while few walk in
farmers started to buy vermi
casts.

12. May 2015, 3 tons of Vermi Cast and 3 tons of Carbonized Rice Hull
(CRH), HINASKI-WORASS were able to supply organic fertilizer and delivered to 3
PO’S of this municipality thru the Municipal Agriculture Office for the establishment
of High Value Crop Nurseries. Namely; Barangay Pocto, Bitoon and Tagasaka, all in
Hinatuan.

13. September and October 2015, the association applied for enhancement in
the acquisition of additional equipment and improvement of vermin farm facility and
other supplies and materials while production focus and continuous establishment of
beds until the end of December 2015.

additional vermi house with 8 beds and
funds taken from income of sales and
member contributions. Still the whole
year of 2016, Hinaski-Worass focuses
on the production of organic fertilizers
and Rice, Corn and Vegetable farmers
still keep coming to buy organic
fertilizers.
15. June 2017, HINASKI-WORASS
supplied and delivered 1.5 tons of
V-Cast and tons of Vermi Compostat
LGU Hinatuan for the Yellow Corn
Production of DACOFAW
Corn Farmers at Barangay Tagasaka.

16. April 2017, the association


Started to introduce to general public
the organic fertilizers by establishing
4 stalls as display center to be placed
in the strategic location within the 4
barangay within the Hinatuan Poblacion.
All 4 organic stalls are already in place.
Funds for this purpose still was
taken from the sales income and
member contributions.

17. August
2017,
HINASKI-
WORASS
supplied and
delivered 200
sacks or 10
tons of organic
fertilizers at
the Municipal
Nursery in
Kinawa,
Hintuan thru
LGU
Procurement.
18. September 2017, the association started to implement the enhancement
project by rehabilitating and constructing the two vermi houses and beds as part of

the improvement of vermi farm facility.

Labor for this construction is the

counterpart of the association and

still was taken from the sales income

and member contributions.

19. October 2017, Bingcongan Integrated School, Hinatuan South District,


students in Senior High School was on field
trip at HINASKI-WORASS VERMI FARM
in Barangay Sasa for benchmarking on the
processes of Vermi Culture and
Composting production.
20. From September 2017 until January 2018, the implementation of
Enhancement Project is almost completed. Only one Purchase Order yet for supplies
and materials have not completely delivered.

21. February 2018, DACOFAW or Danaha Assn of Corn Farmers and Workers
and HINASKI-WORASS have started into negotiation for partnerhip. DACOFAW to
be the supplier of corn (yellow) for future plan of HINASKI-WORASS on Feedmilling
and feed production. All wastes from corn shelling, such as Corn cobs and Husks is
already committed to give to HINASKI-WORASS as substrates (Carbon Source) to
worm or vermi.

22. The members who made sales will have 20% commission. Member user will
have 25% discount on all products and services. This year 2018, the association will
start to focus on marketing and committed to set aside 10% from gross sales for
divdends and patronage to those members in good standing. The Total incentives for
member who made the selling is P31,743.00. (Please see table below under income
summary as of December 30, 2017.)

23. From 2015 to 2017, only two fishpond operators are using vermi cast for
production of Plankton as natural food for crabs, fishes and prawns. Mr. Sarsua is a
fishpond operator and a member who regularly used vermi cast on his pond. Hde is
benefited by availing a 25% less in price and the availability of the products is of big
help for his fishpond. Accordingly, his fish pond expense reduces to 40 percent.
