With reference to the subject mentioned above, I hereby confirmed that the name stated is a
student of Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau
Pinang. He/She has fulfilled all requirements to undertake industrial training program in
semester July– August 2018.

The training program is part of the requirement for the student to complete their B. Eng
(Hons.) Chemical with Environmental course. The duration of the training is eight (8) weeks,
starting from 9 July 2018 - 31 August 2018. We strongly feel that with sufficient exposure to
the real working environment and guidance from your organization, the student will have the
opportunity to apply the knowledge gained from their study as well as enhancing their
interpersonal skills.

To assist your organization in placing the student, listed below are the proposed activities
which can be carried out by the student during the training:

1. project management i.e. project documentation, coordination and planning.

2. equipment design i.e. heat exchanger, separator, completion equipment accessories
and facilities design.
3. production of oleochemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and biotechnology.
4. wastewater or water treatment plant of the process plant.
5. familiarization with real PID and PFD as well as other related simulation works.
6. interpretation and inspection of engineering drawings from relevant consultant
companies.
7. equipment stability assessment or troubleshooting and maintenance.
8. laboratory works i.e. chemical/PVT/properties analysis, design of experiments and
other relevant research and development activities.
9. production and manufacturing assemblies.
10. site visit for environmental or chemical field.
