ABOUT STES
The Civil Engineering department of Sinhgad College of
Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES) was established
in the year 1993 under the dynamic leadership of Prof. M. N.
Navale, Founder President, with an objective of providing
quality education in the fields of Medicine (General and
Dental), Nursing, Engineering, Management, Architecture,
Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Science, Arts, Commerce
etc. and the basic school education from kindergarten to higher
secondary. There are more than 100 Institutes under the aegis
of STES offering school education, Diploma, Graduation,
Post-Graduation and Ph.D. programs in various fields.
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
STES’ Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) is a private
unaided institution that was established in the year 1996 under
the dynamic leadership of Prof. M. N. Navale. The institute
offers eight undergraduate engineering programmes of four
year duration namely: Civil Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering,
Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information
Technology, Production Engineering, Bio-Technology. Six
engineering departments are offering post-graduate programs.
The department of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics &
Telecommunication Engineering and Civil Engineering are
recognized Ph. D. Research Centres by Savitribai Phule Pune
University. The institute also offers a post-graduate program
leading to MBA degree. It has a total under-graduate and post-
graduate enrolment of 1200 and 338 students, respectively.
Currently there are 126 students registered for Ph.D. with this
research centre. All the courses are approved by All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to
Savitribai Phule Pune University. SCOE is also NAAC
Accredited with ‘A’ Grade.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Engineering, Pune was established in the year 2000. The
department offers undergraduate program in Civil Engineering,
with an intake of 180. As a symbol of academic excellence, the
department received five years prestigious accreditation by NBA-
Delhi in the past. The department also conducts three post
graduate programs in Structural Engineering, Hydraulics and
Environmental Engineering. Along with post graduate program,
the department is also recognized as a Research Centre by the
Savitribai Phule Pune University for Ph. D. Studies.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
CIVIL PGCON 2019 is the Sixth Civil Engineering Post
Graduate Conference organized by Civil Engineering Department
of STES’ Sinhgad College of Engineering Pune, in Association
with BoS Civil Engineering of Savitribai Phule Pune
University (SPPU). It will be attended by more than 500
students and faculty members. The CIVIL PGCON is an
opportunity for all post graduate students in Civil Engineering to
present their project work. The conference aims at interaction
of PG students with faculty members and industry experts for
the empowerment of PG students. The main objective is to explore
all possibilities to convert the research work carried out by
students into commercial approach.
 IMPORTANT POINTS
ABSTRACTS
The Abstract should be 300 words maximum and the philosophy,
experimentation, computation and analysis should be covered.
The abstract should be mailed to sdkhandekar.scoe@sinhgad.edu
PAPERS
PG coordinators of respective institutes should compile Abstracts
and Full papers (discipline wise such as STR,CM, HYD, ENV, GT,
etc. and same should be the name of the folder.) of their students and
mail it to the coordinator before the deadline. The subject of the mail
should be “ PG CON 2019- College Name”.
One hard copy of Souvenir (only Abstract), and one soft copy in the
form of CD (only Abstract) will be given to each college.
PRESENTATIONS
Presentation duration: 8 min presentation, 2 min question and
answer.
Template will be given by coordinator to maintain uniformity.
REGISTRATION FEE DETAILS
• P.G. student: Rs. 1200/-
• Registration fee Includes registration kit, breakfast, lunch & tea.
• First year PG students can also attend the conference. For such
students registration fees is Rs. 250/- and Rs 400/- for one day and
two days attendance respectively. Such students will get Attendance
certificate, working lunch, tea and breakfast. PG coordinators are
requested to encourage First Year students to attend PG CON, so that
they get experience.
