INSIGHTS

Informal Settlers a people who settles on the land of another without title or right or
without the owner’s consent whether in urban or rural areas. However, for the sake of
their lives to survive they have no choice but to live and build the temporary shelters
even if without the permission of the ownert. As we all know they have many causes
about this problem of informal settlers which includes the factors of population growth,
lack of affordable housing, migration of rural urban and as well as a weak of
governance. For instance, I think by the corruption of the government instead to help
the informal settlers to build of housing. In addition, one of the main problem reasons
of this settlers why they grow up economically it’s because of poverty. Poverty is a

multidimensional circumstance which include the unable to satisfy one’s basic needs,

due to the lack of control over education and skills, resources, poor health,lack of
shelter, little or no access to clean water and sanitation. Where In the life situation of
Informal settlers which is Lack of shelter, resources, little or no access to clean water
and sanitation. and other program and services and most of them have no job were
cannot provide a source of income. For instances, In the Philippines, located in Manila,
Quezon City are mostly of them is migrants from provinces who came to search an
opportunities, because of displacement by the conflict of climate change and natural
disaster they have experienced. Moreover, others have been forced out of their homes
such as demolition because the government have planned to implement the industrial
projects of the land they occupied. In that situation, people who live there of course
they will find ways or solutions where they can lived or build a temporary shelters. We
can identify or recognized informal settlers especially, a people who live in or build
their houses those in danger areas such as river or waterways, railroad tracks, within
dumpsites and those in government land and private land. The question is, how can
be solve this problems? The city of government was the responsibility to look forward
those who are informal settlers to give them a relocation sites, where their lives secure,
safety and meet their basic needs and also give them opportunities to work so that
they can provide a source of income. Furthermore, together with the help of
Government and Non-Government organization to collaborate by implementing a
program and services to addressed/solved this problem. Therefore I conclude that I
learn a lot of what I have written and how does the informal settlers important to help
and save their lives in this world.
