HOW TO DECREASE PAIN OF DYSMENORRHEA BASED ON
JOURNAL RECEANTLY

Dysmenorrheas are common problems among women in productive cycle of their life.
Most of menstruating women had an experienced of this painful menses. There are two types
of Dysmenorrhea. The primary dysmenorrhea has a specific character such as colicky like
abdominal cramps; sometimes combine with low abdominal pain. This pain still associated
with normal ovulatory cycles and not related to any pathologic problems with the
gynecologic condition. The secondary dysmenorrhea connected to the painful menses with
organic pelvic pathology or disease, like PID or endometriosis.

Recent studies in 2012 from Hangzhou, China find relationships between


dysmenorrhea mood in psychological states.” study offers evidence that girls with pure
dysmenorrhea do have pronounced Neuroticism- Anxiety and Impulsive Sensation Seeking
personality traits.”( Archives of Neuropsychiatry 2012, Liang et al). and in some journals
that’s offered how to manage this pain from dysmenorrhea, besides using drugs. Most of the
top pain management for non-pharmacological methods for primary types of Dysmenorrhea
are ;

a) massage therapy were considered to be effective by reducing pain in the abdomen


using the principles of gate control theory.
b) positive exercise interventions that woman can do for reducing pain and improving
self-management of pain in individuals with primary dysmenorrhea; yoga, aerobic,
cycling, or just 10 to 15 minutes of simple stretching exercise
c) Diets while facing premenstrual phase like consumption of dark chocolate and ginger
are proved can reduce the scale of pain in primary dysmenorrhea
d) The other journals tries to find a ways to increased mood of woman in facing PMS by
aromatherapy, and most of the best aromatherapy that we can chose are jasmine,
lavender, or cinnamon. It depends on what scent of aromatherapy you like.

There is still many types of non-pharmacological or complementary therapy that we can


chose as woman to decreased pain in menstrual periods.
