CURRICULUM GUIDE
CONTENT STANDARD:
The students demonstrate understanding of the key concepts of the influence of biodiversity on
the stability of ecosystems and that an ecosystem is on capable of supporting number of organisms.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The students will be able to construct essays that propose ways on how people should maintain a
sustainable and healthy ecosystem.
TRANSFER GOAL:
The students will be constructing their essays that will develop their sense of responsibility, open-
mindedness and critical thinking.
Stage 1 – DESIRED OUTCOMES / ASSESSMENT EVIDENCES
Acquisition Goal
 Give an example of ecosystem and identify the different components of it.
 Propose ways in maintaining a sustainable and healthy ecosystem by creating a short essay.

biodiversity on the stability of ecosystems and that an ecosystem is on capable of supporting number
of organisms.
ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How will you maintain a sustainable and healthy ecosystem?

UNDERSTANDING TOOL: How can we achieve a sustainable and healthy ecosystem?

Transfer Goal:
The students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the key concepts of ecosystem so that in the
long run they will develop their sense of responsibility, open-mindedness and critical thinking.
