Story of Transport

Archaeologists believe that the very first step toward man-made transportation
began in either Mesopotamia or Asia, sometime around 4000-3500 BC, with the
invention of the wheel. By this point, man had long since domesticated the horse,
and was using it to help him till the soil and plant crops. But the invention of the
wheel would eventually make man’s ability to transport his crops from one place
to another less awkward, and birth the idea of trade and exchange. The invention
of the wheel would lead to the development of mass transportation, as man put
his new invention to practical uses.

Transport can be use in many aspects or purpose. Transport is an important aid

to trade and it helps in the movement of goods from the producers to the
consumers. Transport is importance because it helps to move the finished goods
to the markets and ultimately to the final consumers, both domestic and foreign.
Consumers all over the world can now buy goods produced from other countries.
Thus, they have greater choice. Countries all over the world are interdependent
on one another in producing goods. It enables people especially traders to travel
from one place to another with ease, speed and in comfort.

There are 3 types of mode of transport; Land, Water and Air.
