GENERAL NOTES:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE WARNINGS AND ALL THE
CAUTIONS INCLUDED THE REFERENCED PROCEDURES.
WARNING: Always make sure your computer and AC adaptor have adequate
ventilation and are protected from overheating when the power is turned
on or when an AC adaptor is connected to a power outlet (even if your
computer is in Sleep mode).
WARNING: Never allow any liquids to spill into any part of your computer, and never
expose the computer to rain, water, seawater or moisture. Exposure to
liquid or moisture can cause electric shock or fire, resulting in damage or
serious injury.
WARNING: Always confirm that the power plug (and extension cable plug if used) has
been fully inserted into the socket, to ensure a secure electrical
connection. Failure to do so may result in a fire or electric shock, possibly
resulting in serious injury. Be careful if you use a multiple connector. An
overload on one socket could cause a fire or electric shock, possibly
resulting in serious injury.
CAUTION: Installing a memory module with the computer’s power on may damage the
computer, the module, or both.
CAUTION: Before you install or remove a memory module, turn off the computer. If
you install or remove a memory module while the computer is in Sleep or
Hibernation mode, data will be lost.
CAUTION: Pressing the power button before shutting down the Windows® operating
system could cause you to lose your work. Make sure the system
indicator panel’s storage drive light and the drive in-use light are off. If you
turn off the power while a disk/disc is being accessed, you may lose data
or damage the disk/disc and/or drive.
CAUTION: Changing the default settings using Device Manager can cause other
conflicts that make one or more devices unusable. Device Manager is a
configuration tool for advanced users who understand configuration
parameters and the ramifications of changing them.

NOTE 3: For this model, Slot A is the bottom slot. Slot B is the top slot. If only one
memory module is to be installed, it must be installed in Slot A.
TECH NOTE 1: You must have at least one memory module installed for the
computer to work.

parameters and the ramifications of changing them.
CAUTION: Do not try to remove a memory module with the computer turned on. You
can damage the computer and the memory module. Do not remove the
