4.Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity  Prayer and checking of attendance.
 Have a 10 item quiz about the last topic.
 Have a 15 item multiple choice pre-test about the next topic
which is set-up cutting equipment, and cut and prepare edge of
materials.
4.2 Activity The class will be divided into two (2) groups. Each group will be
preparing materials for making a trash can frame. They will be graded
accordingly with the given rubric.
4.3 Analysis Questions:
1. What is Oxy-Acetylene Cutting Equipment?
2. What are the parts of a basic oxy-acetylene outfit?
3. What are the procedures in setting-up a cutting torch?
4. What are the two types of flame cutting?
5. What is the purpose of cleaning surfaces and edges?
4.4 Abstraction The teacher will have a brief discussion that summarizes the learning
on setting-up cutting equipment, preparing and cleaning surfaces/edges
of materials.
4.5 Application Measure and cut the carbon steel and make a trash can frame by
welding. A rubric will be given to guide the students’
output/performance.
4.6 Assessment  Written test

4.7 Assignment Advance study on the next topic which is prepare welding
consumables, prepare welding safety and protective equipment.
