II. HISTORY/BACKGROUND OF THE STATION

Aksyon Radyo Dagupan DWCM-AM 1161 kHz is an AM radio station

owned by Pacific Broadcasting System in the Philippines. The stations
studio located in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. On April 2, 1989 the Flagship
AM network Manila Broadcasting Company the call letter DWCM-AM in
Dagupan City better radio balita. In 1999, Aksyon Radyo Dagupan the News
and Talk.

a. Microphone
- Colloquially nicknamed mic, is a transducer that converts sound into an electrical signal. It starts
with the microphone which captures the sound or voice of the Dj and turn it into electrical
impulses.
b. Audio Mixer
- Is the process by which multiple sounds are combined into one or more channels. In the process,
a source's volume level, frequency content, dynamics, and panoramic position are manipulated
and or enhanced.
c. Low noise block down converter (LNB)
- It is the device on the front of a satellite dish that receives the very low level microwave signal
from the satellite, amplifies it, changes the signals to a lower frequency band and sends them
down the cable to the indoor receiver.
d. STL
-A studio/transmitter link (or STL) sends a radio station's or television
station's audio and video from the broadcast studio or origination facility to a radio
transmitter, television transmitter or uplink facility in another location. This is accomplished
through the use of terrestrial microwave links or by using fiber optic or other telecommunication
connections to the transmitter site.

Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan (DWCM 1161 KHz) is a radio station owned

by the Manila Broadcasting Company and operated and managed by the
Balon Subol Broadcast Marketing Corporation in Dagupan City,
Pangasinan, Philippines. To date, we are the only Pangasinan-based AM
radio station that is webcast.

Our studio is located at 2/F Duque Building, Galvan St., Dagupan City and
our 10-kilowatt transmitter is in Barangay Lucao, Dagupan City. We operate
daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
