ARTISTIC DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY 2
The script involves two students, who are Jessie and Ann. The students had been in the
same class and had been friends throughout their studies. The script commences at the context of
the exam room where the teacher issues papers, but unfortunately, Jessie fails to comprehend the
question and loses hope in the performance of the article. It is at this point the two students test
their friendship. Jessie glances at Ann who had enough content and confidence to handle the
questions. Jessie pleads to Ann to assist him despite the strict standards set by the teacher
Ann helps Jessie, and finally, this move acts as a stimulant to their friendship since, after
the exam, the two students share some conversation and even exchange addresses. In the talk,
Jessie requests Ann to pay a visit which she does some days after. She is bewildered by the
riches of her friend and even feels unworthy. After the tour, Jessie requests to visit Ann. The
young girl feels unworthy and also declines the visit since she thought that they were poor, and
was she was afraid of how Jessie would react in their stinking poverty environment. True to her
ideas, Jessie expresses a dislike feeling towards Ann’s relatives and even refuses to shake hands
or eat anything.
In conclusion, this script aims at illustrating the effects of social status on friendship. It
brings out many issues, like the attributes of true friendship. As Ann’s grandmother states, real
friends do not allow any barrier like wealth to come in between them. However, Jessie serves as
an example of a contrite and proud friend to Ann. His attributes send a lesson to the reader by
stressing him/her to test their friendship to know whether it is loving and unbiased.
