Sir:

The need to empower students is of prime importance to SYL Team! In our last meeting of
Leadership Consultants in Tokyo last November 26,2018 in the Asia Pacific region, a research was
presented by the UNU team, that many o f our students have been caught in vicious cycles of laxities
brought about by their own gadgets which led to very poor academic ratings, poor presentation of
skills especially in reading and writing and a significant increase in suicides because the youth of
today have become too personal in their affairs, and blended with too much freedom to express
themselves in facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

As part of our greater commitment to strengthening the Filipino nation and our ASEAN
region, SYL will conduct the 2019 National Summer Leadership Camp which will be held in Luzon,
Visayas and Mindanao. This training will complement the academic programs being giveu by their
teachers, re-strengthen the hopes of families as we empower them through workshops and lectures
that will awaken their giants within.
The SYL NATIONAL SUMMER LEADERSHIP CAMP (NSLC) with DA No. 20 dated
February 14,2019, is the highest leadership development program of Saceda Youth Lead given to a
student leader and to a teacher adviser serving in several student-led, school-based, community-based
and professional organizations. This event is conducted in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in April and

values which are all needed to effect changes in his/her own family, community and nation as a
