The present research arises from the need of the use of digital technologies in academic
management, as an innovative pedagogical tool that allows the expansion of concepts and
the possibility of proposing a more dynamic environment for collaborative learning in the
classroom. With the use of new digital technologies it is possible to improve learning,
providing a transformation of the academic process, especially in the area of mathematics,
giving rise to an interactional space, in which teacher-student maintain a more flexible
relationship, moving to a two-way learning, structuring better the pedagogical knowledge
laying the foundations in which to do research and solve everyday problems through a
theoretical-practical and interactive teaching.
It is possible to improve the learning of the trigonometric sine and cosine ratios
competences in the students of cycle 5 of the Instituto Colombo Venezolano de
Bucaramanga, through a proposal mediated by digital technologies, for this it was
necessary to identify the level of development in the competences of the sine and cosine
trigonometric ratios, to recognize the impact of successful experiences mediated by digital
technologies in the development of trigonometric skills in middle school students and to
determine the technological and pedagogical resources and procedures for designing the
proposal. The teacher must design activities, which are focused on inducing students to
assume the responsibility of building their own knowledge, interacting with the problems.
