Statement of Purpose

I am applying for admission to the Ph.D. in Business Administration in your university. I have
chosen Ph.D because I want to pursue my career in the research and teaching of Business
Administration. I trust that the Ph.D. in Business Administration would be valuable in helping
me achieving my purpose. I have passion for research work. I am always searching for new
things. It would facilitate me to apply my quantitative and conceptual skills in analyzing issues
of business and would help me to work on new avenues in research. I believe that my
background in economics and Business Administration has equipped me for said career. I have
found research charming since my starting days of university.
I was born on May 4, 1989 in Okara, Pakistan. I successfully started my secondary school
certification, followed by Higher Secondary School certification. After that I have done
Bachelors of Commerce 2 years degree from University of Punjab. After this i have got 2 years
master degree from Punjab University as well and I became graduated from University of Punjab
completing 16 years of Education in Business Economics. I have secured HEC Indigenous Phd
Fellowship MS leading to Phd then I joined National University of Modern Languages, Lahore
in order to broaden my perspective and to improve my career prospects. I got admission in
MSBA (Master of Science in Business Administration) in 2014. I have studied different subjects
in my recent degree. Some of subjects are as following: Managerial Finance, Research
Methodology, Merger& Acquisition, Strategic Business Administration, Corporate Governance,
Multivariate Data Analysis, International Finance. I enjoyed applying quantitative and
conceptual skills to analyze business topics. I did very well in projects, desk research, workshops
and class discussion, I got 3.73 CGPA. I have written a research paper as an assignment in
Semester two.
My MSBA dissertation was an opportunity to demonstrate my enhanced writing skills and my
ability to collate both analytical data and factual information relating to navigation and
communication through virtual environments. The Master enabled me to underline the practical
skills gained through academic and part-time work, with theoretical knowledge. As a result, this
affords me a strong advantage as I can offer the breadth of skills that you seek as well as relevant
knowledge of media and communication.
For enhancing my quantitative skills I attended multivariate data analysis workshop. I have also
attended workshop on Emotional Intelligence. These workshops helped me allot to improve my
data analysis skills. I have used EVIEWS, SmartPLS, SPSS for data analysis.
During my academic and professional experience I well understood the significance of
commitment and how to be an effective member of team and how to work independently.
I hope that the admissions committee finds my background and strengths commensurate with the
requirements of Ph.D. program in Business Administration.
