Working with so many fam-
ily members can sometimes
be a challenge, as anyone can

those family members all get

Waukon native Garth Cooper has been growing his beef herd since he bought his first animals
at the age of 18. Cooper says he likes to buy first-calf heifers and he pasture breeds his cattle.
He plans to continue to grow his herd as finances allow, with the ultimate goal of purchasing the
