Sterlite Power Transmission Limited (Sterlite Power), born out of the
demerger of the power business from Sterlite Technologies, is India’s
leading power transmission company. Sharing lineage with the Vedanta
Group, Sterlite Power is driven by the core purpose of empowering
humanity by addressing the toughest challenges of energy delivery.
Sterlite Power has four business units– Infrastructure, Solutions,
Convergence and IndiGrid.
In the Infrastructure space, Sterlite Power sets up power transmission
infrastructure on BOOM (Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain) model. It has
11 projects in India and two in Brazil with a capital commitment of $2.5
billion. Of these, four projects are revenue generating and the rest are in
various stages of commissioning.
Our solutions business combines our differentiated products portfolio with
specialised EPC services. We are a leading manufacturer of power
cables and conductors, supplying to all major Indian states and private

manufacturing assets in Odisha, Uttarakhand and Dadra and Nagar
Haveli. We undertake bespoke Master Systems Integration projects in
power transmission.
Our convergence business is working on creating a large fiber and tower
infrastructure network for use by the telecom industry.
IndiGrid is Sterlite Power sponsored listed Infrastructure Investment Trust
(InvIt). It was the first InvIt offering from an Indian power transmission
company. IndiGrid currently owns two transmission assets and has the
first right of refusal on sponsor’s balance Indian assets.
Sterlite Power is committed to harnessing technology in order to
revolutionise the power transmission sector. It has pioneered cutting-
edge initiatives such as aerial surveys, heli-stringing, tower erection
through heli-cranes and asset monitoring through unmanned aerial
vehicles.

As per 31st March, 2018 – the revenue stood at Rs 447.6 crore and

About the Role

 In depth understanding / Research covering Infrastructure


sectors from commercial & financing point of view
 Commercial and Financial Due-diligence of equity and structured
transactions
 Investment appraisal including financial analysis & financial
modelling. The person should be able to run complex financial
models with limited review from seniors
 Preparation of deal execution notes for existing investors /
unitholders, investment committee etc. and marketing documents
Description of Role(s) for prospective investors
 Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with external
stakeholders like investors, potential deal counterparties,
consultants, lawyers etc.
 Involvement in negotiation and execution of termsheets and
binding agreements
 End to end involvement in the transaction process right from deal
sourcing to deal closing

Designation & Will be discussed at a later stage – Can be an Analyst OR an Associate


Reporting Structure of Mergers and Acquisition team depending on the years of experience

Years of experience 2-6 years of experience

Chartered Accountancy OR MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 Institute with


some exposure to or interest in Investment Banking / Corporate finance
Skill Sets Expected advisory. MUST – Industry experience in Infrastructure (Preferably in
Roads, Ports, Renewables, Conventional Energy, Urban Transportation
etc.)
