PROPOSAL
Plant trees, Give life to the Future Generations!

Theme: Fresh and Sustainable Environment, Gift of Youth to Future Life

PROJECT DURATION

This project will be conducted for the whole second semester (5 months). Every Saturday
or once a week the students (CWTS 1) will visit the location or the site where the project propose
to be conducted to check if there is a development in the project produced by the students

PROJECT SCOPE

Our adapted site to conduct the project is in San Roque, San Jose Occidental Mindoro
where we can find the Pandurucan Bridge which connects the downtown to the different
barangays of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The students adapted this community because they
have noticed that the trees beneath the Bridge are become lesser than its previous years. Whereas
the trees (bakawan) help the community to lessen floods from the river because the tree is
responsible to control the flow of the water that can also serve as the natural habitat of some
species of fish that can also help the community if there is a scarcity in food.

PROJECT STATUS

This project is on-going. The Community Extension Service of the Divine Word College
of San Jose is conducting the same activity to support the project. We intend to coordinate with
them our activities in order to collaborate with them our activity to perform it successfully that
can sustain the needs of the community. The students can also help the community cleaning the
river in order to avoid an unpleasant smell cause by the improper disposal of waste.
