PREPARATION/ Daily Routine ( 2 minutes )


PRIMING 1. Prayer (Personal Prayer to be led by the student)

Warm-up Activity ( 3 minutes )


Direction: Let the students watch a video about the kinds, characteristics, and the
importance of a health career. While watching the videos, the teacher should write
the questions on the board. Ask the students to list down careers they will
remember. The students are expected to answer the guide questions after
watching the video:
1. What is a Health Career?
2. How is it different from other career?
3. If you will choose one career, what would it be?

Do Activity 1: Concept Mapping on Page 303 in Health Book


ACTIVITIES Call some volunteer to discuss their answer in front of the class.

The teacher led the discussion about the importance and common steps of making

PRIMING Warm-up Activity ( 3 minutes )
Direction: Let the students look at the given illustration.
Ask the students:
1. What’s in a cigarette?
2. What are the harmful effects of cigarette?
3. Who can be affected by cigarette?
Let the students watch a video about smoking information and cigarette smoke
ACTIVITIES contents. While watching the videos, the teacher will post the questions on the
board. Ask the students to list down information they will remember. The
students are expected to answer the guide questions after watching the video:
1. What are the harmful components of smoking?
2. How does it affect our body?
3. Will you say YES to smoking? Why?

The teacher led the discussion about the effects of smoking on the body using
ANALYSIS power point and video presentation.

The teacher will ask questions about the video presentation.


ABSTRACTION 1. What are the parts of the body being affected by cigarette smoking?
2. Are you convinced to use cigarette? Explain.

Group the students into four.


APPLICATION
1. Prepare advocacy materials against cigarette smoking.
It can be presented through slogan, poster making, sign board and role playing.
