internetworldsats.com commencing 31 December 2018 the number of internet users reached
4,241,972,790 users worldwide dominated by a user of the Asian region amounted to 54.7% [9]. It
proves that the internet needs in Asian communities are very high, including in Indonesia. According to
a survey conducted by APJII (Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association) in 2017 Indonesia
Internet users reached 54.68% of the total population of Indonesia [10]. The following is the result of a
survey conducted by internetworldstat.com regarding world internet user statistics in 2019:

However this is accompanied by rampant violations / crimes committed on the Internet or who
is often called cybercrime. The method used in this study was a survey in order to determine the impact
of cybercrime on consumer confidence in e-commerce, as well as whether cybercrime effect on
customer satisfaction in E-Commerce.

2. Method
This study uses descriptive methods and surveys to collect data, this method is used to determine
respondents 'responses to questions posed by researchers, including respondents' confidence in digital
transactions in E-Commerce and respondents 'experience of digital crime and respondents' optimism in
facing the era of revolution industry 4.0. Data obtained from respondents used as a reference for
researchers in drawing conclusions for this study, the samples taken were Informatics Engineering
students from the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). The survey was conducted on March
18, 2019 in the Universitas Komputer Indonesia campus environment.

3. Results and Discussion

After conducting interviews at the respondents and get the results, it will be used as a reference of
this study. In the table below are the result of a survey on the confidence of respondents to the E-
Commerce:

Table 1 Consumer confidence levels of E-Commerce

Level of confidence number of Respondents Percentage (%)

Strongly believes 5 25%
Believe 9 45%
Less Believe 5 25%
Do not believe 1 5%
total 20 100%

Result of 20 respondents, researchers get the data that is already in the mentioned in table 1,
as many as 25% of respondents feel very confident of the quality and safety of E-Commerce, which is
the reason they feel very confident is never to be victim of cybercrime and feeling that the more
advanced the technology information, the security level even more updated. So as much as 45% of
respondents felt confident about the quality and safety of E-Commerce, their reason is they know that
cybercrime has the potential to be harmful to the security of transactions, but respondents felt that self
defense (sorting items to be purchased and see the reputation of the seller) can improve security transact.
Some 25% of respondents feel that they lack confidence because they think that the cyber criminals
certainly capable of breaking into the existing security system, so the security of transactions and the
level of confidence of respondents to the E-Commerce lacking. 5% of respondents did not believe it
because it had been victims of cyber crime and feel cured transactions in E-Commerce.
Then down bellow is a survey of respondents' experience of fraud by cyber criminals:

Table 2 Respondent Experience Against Cybercrime

Respondent experience number of Respondents Percentage (%)

Ever experienced 1 5%
Never Had 19 95%
total 20 100%
Of the total 20 same respondents, 5% of respondents had experienced cyber fraud, while
95% of respondents have never experienced fraud in E-Commerce.

Table 3 The optimism level Respondents Facing Industrial Revolution 4.0

Respondents optimism
Facing the Revolutionary Era number of Respondents Percentage (%)
industry 4.0
very Optimistic 2 10%
Optimistic 16 80%
Less Optimistic 1 5%
not Optimistic 1 5%
total 20 100%

Can be seen, the results of a survey conducted on 20 respondents about optimism respondents
in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. As many as 80% of the total respondents were optimistic about
the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, they believe can take a significant change in the transaction, they
also believe that the growing order industry it will be more convenient and practical to do things later if
there has been a change in the era of industry in Indonesia. Meanwhile 10% of respondents feel very
optimistic in the face of changes in the industry, they are also ready to cope with change. They trust with
the experience of using digital media, they feel it is sufficient capital to face the era of the industrial
revolution 4.0. besides that they also feel that the ease and practicality of doing things through digital
media is a very helpful thing of their lives. As many as 5% of the respondents feel less optimistic because
they are comfortable in doing some things conventionally, they assume that the conventional methods
have to stay there, because not all be able to use digital media as a platform. The remaining 5% of the
respondents feel that they are not optimistic for the era of the industrial revolution was 4.0 due to factors
privacy and security. They still have concerns in using digital media as a platform, so for them the
conventional method used today is the most optimal choice for them.

Based on survey data that has been conducted by researchers see that:
1. Most respondents felt that the level of security in e-commerce transactions can be trusted.
2. Respondents felt ready to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
3. Respondents are aware of the influence of personal prudence and foresight to choose a trusted
seller on E-Commerce

4. Conclusion
Conclusion of the research is consumers have confidence to transact online on an e-commerce and
cybercrime proved no effect because the level of security in e-commerce today is updated from time to
time along with the development of science and technology. In addition prudence factor also affects the
virtual crime itself. As long as consumers make a transaction in reliable or verified e-commerce and see
the reputation of sellers in e-commerce, then the security of transactions will be higher and virtual crime
rates can be anticipated even though the number of cybercrimes are increasing day by day. because a lot
of selling the service provider that uses algorithms to better ensure the security of transactions and
consumer awareness in the use of services to transact.
