HUBUNGAN TINGKAT STRES DENGAN STRATEGI KOPING PADA

SISWA FULL DAY SCHOOL DI SMP ISLAM AL ABIDIN SURAKARTA

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Populasi remaja usia 15-19 tahun sebesar 8,39% dari total
penduduk Indonesia. Prevalensi gangguan mental emosional remaja yaitu 9,8/1000
orang. Kegagalan individu dalam melakukan penyesuaian diri menyebabkan stres
dan cara mengatasi stres yaitu koping. Fenomena dalam bidang pendidikan yaitu
sistem pembelajaran full day school. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres
dengan strategi koping siswa full day school di SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta.
Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif bersifat analitik korelasional dengan rancangan
Cross Sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Stratified Random
Sampling dengan jumlah sampel penelitian 79 responden, sedangkan instrumen
penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square.
Hasil: Menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa full day school memiliki tingkat stres
tinggi sebanyak 60 responden (75,9%), sedangkan mayoritas siswa full day school
menggunakan strategi koping maladaptif sebanyak 53 responden (67,1%). Hasil uji
chi square diperoleh ρ value 0,068 lebih besar dari ɑ sebesar 0,05. Kesimpulan:
Tidak ada hubungan tingkat stres dengan strategi koping pada siswa full day school
di SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta.

ABSTRACT

Background: The population of teenagers aged 15-19 years is 8.39% of the total
population of Indonesia. The prevalence of adolescent emotional mental disorders
is 9.8/1000 people. The failure of individuals in making self-adjustments leads to
stress and the way of overcoming stress is koping. The phenomenon in education
is a full day school learning system. Objectives: To know the relationship of
stress levels with the strategy of the full day school students at SMP Islam Al
Abidin Surakarta. Methods: Quantitative research is correlational analytic with
Cross Sectional design. Sampling uses a Stratified Random Sampling technique
with a research sample of 79 respondents, while research instruments use
questionnaires. Bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. Result: shows that the
majority of full day school students have a high stress rate of 60 respondents
(75.9%), while the majority of full day school students use a maladaptive and 53
respondents (67.1%). Chi Square test result obtained ρ value 0.068 is greater than
ʌ of 0.05. Conclusion: There is no relation to stress level with the strategy in the
full day school in the Islamic SMP Al Abidin Surakarta.
