The activity started around 10:30AM with a prayer led by the Quezon City 2 Branch Development Officer
– Anna Liza Pastorfide.

The Development Officer (DO) ask every Community Development Worker (CDW) to share their
learning, experiences and advices to their co-CDW.

The Operations Manager asked Ms. Rose Esparcia the AB Management Information System Officer
(MIS-O) to explain our 2 Insurance that we offer to our partners. See attached Files. AB-Micro-

2 Types of Insurance:
1. LPPI- Loan Payment Protection Insurance
2. MCI- Micro-Insurance

All D.O’s has their own Topic to be discussed:

RODRIGUEZ BRANCH – Crisanto Carizon

TOPIC: (SIT DOWN)


Definition:
 One of Delinquency Management Strategy for the purpose of Mispayment / Matured.
 Pear Pressure Strategy.

The D.O ask every CDW about their own definition and strategy on SIT DOWN:
- Sa bahay ng partner.
- Kinakausap ang 2 co-maker / leader.
- Babalikan by sched (DAPAT TANGGALIN)
- Group sit down with other Staff (MINIMAL LANG)
- Issue Demand Letter
- Isama si D.O

The discussion help CDW to stand on their own, decide on their own and to handle the situation
professionally. Because a Community Development Worker works with communities to bring about
social change and improve quality of life.
QUEZON CITY 2 BRANCH – Anna Liza Pastorfide

TOPIC: (ORIENTATION for New Partners)


Definition:
 Introduction of how the Foundation started. How it can help partners. And the services we can
offer.

- The D.O. started with the Prayer.


- History of Alay Buhay.
- Mission and Vision.

The D.O presents all the AB Program:


- Educational Assistance/Financial Assistance
Micro-Finance Program (Business Development Services)
- CBU – their savings can earn interest from 3 – 5 % per annum. Posting of Interest is quarterly.
- LOAN – they can borrow capital for their business from Alay Buhay which only has 3.33%
interest rate per month.
Community Development Program
 Livelihood and Skills Training.
Financial Services
 KABUHAYAN LOAN – A group of partners consist of 10 partners and above.
Can loan 4,000 to 5,000 it depends on the type of their business.

 KAUNLARAN LOAN – This type of loan is for partners who have established business. They can
loan 10,000 and Up.
The Alay Buhay also has a KITTY FUND for children to teach them to save for their future. The KITTY
savers earn interest of 5% per annum.

The D.O explains the 2 Types of Insurance:


1. Loan Payment Protection Insurance (LPPI) – This type of insurance from the word itself insured
your loan. If ever the partner dies it waves their entire loan.
2. MCI – This is for life Insurance. This is valid for 1 year.

The D.O / Speaker give them the list of requirements required for the partners to pass as soon as they
passed the Credit / Background Investigation.

The D.O reminds partners about their obligations and responsibility for being an ALAY BUHAY partner.

The discussion of the 3 topics ended.

The Operation Manager Sir Mheo reminds CDW to recruit to fill their breakeven point target.
No other matter has been discussed.
