Abstrak

Objektif : Untuk menentukan angka kejadian kebutaan di RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung

periode 1 Januari 2007 hingga 31 Maret 2008, serta karakteristik pasiennya
berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, jumlah mata yang buta, serta penyakit yang menjadi
penyebabnya.
Metode : Penelitian bersifat deskriptif retrospektif. Pengumpulan data rekam medik
pasien rawat jalan Poliklinik Mata RSUD Al Ihsan yang memiliki visus < 3/60 pada
periode 1 Januari 2007 sampai dengan 31 Maret 2008.
Hasil : Angka kejadian kebutaan di RSUD Al Ihsan pada periode 1 Januari 2007
hingga 31 Maret 2008 berdasar kriteria WHO adalah sebesar 3.09% (73 orang),
sedangkan untuk kriteria Indonesia ialah 2.32% (55 orang). Karakteristik berdasarkan
kelompok usia angka kebutaan tertinggi terjadi pada kelompok usia 61-70 tahun yakni
23 orang (31.5%) untuk kriteria WHO dan sebanyak 18 orang (32.7%). Kebutaan
tertinggi terjadi wanita, pada kriteria WHO sebesar 42 orang (57.52%) dan kriteria
Indonesia sebanyak 32 orang, (58.18%). Prevalensi penyakit penyebab kebutaan
adalah katarak, yang terjadi pada 26 kasus (35.62%)
Kesimpulan : Didapatkan angka kebutaan di RSUD Al Ihsan pada periode 1 Januari
2007 hingga 31 Maret 2008, dengan kriteria WHO sebanyak 73 orang dan kriteria
Indonesia sebanyak 55 orang, dengan prevalensi tersering pada kelompok usia 61-70
tahun dan wanita. Penyebab kebutaan yang paling sering adalah penyakit katarak,
pada 26 kasus.

 ABSTRACT

Objective : To determine the incidence of blindness in the hospitals of Al-Ihsan

Bandung period January 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008, and the characteristics of
patients based on age, gender, number of blind eyes, and that the cause of disease.

Method : Retrospective descriptive studies. Medical record data collection outpatient

clinic of Al Ihsan Eye Hospital which has visus <3 / 60 in the period January 1, 2007
until March 31, 2008.

Results : The incidence of blindness in the Al-Ihsan Hospital during the period
January 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008 is based on the WHO criteria for 3:09% (73
people), while Indonesia is the criteria for 2.32% (55 people). Characteristics based
on age groups the highest rates of blindness occurs in 61-70 year age group of 23
people (31.5%) for WHO criteria and as many as 18 people (32.7%). Highest
blindness occurs woman, the WHO criteria for 42 people (57.52%) and the criteria of
Indonesia 32 people (58.18%). The prevalence of the disease causes blindness is
cataract, which occurred in 26 cases (35.62%)

Conclusion : The number blindness of Al Ihsan Hospital during the period January 1,
2007 through March 31, 2008, with 73 for the WHO criteria and criteria of Indonesia
as much as 55 people, with a prevalence linked to the 61-70 year age group and
women. Causes of blindness are the most common cataract disease, in 26 cases.
