ABOUT HYDERABAD
Hyderabad is the capital of southern India's Telangana state. A major center for
the technology industry, it's home to many upscale restaurants and shops. Its
historic sites include Golconda Fort, a former diamond-trading center that was
once the Qutb Shahi dynastic capital. The Charminar, a 16th-century mosque
whose 4 arches support towering minarets, is an old city landmark near the
long-standing Laad Bazaar.
CHARMINAR
The Charminar, constructed in 1591, is a monument and mosque located in
Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The landmark has become known globally as a
symbol of Hyderabad and is listed among the most recognized structures in
India.
HUSSAIN SAGAR
Hussain Sagar is a necklace-shaped lake in Hyderabad built by Ibrahim Quli
Qutb Shah, and named after Hussain Shah Wali. It is spread across an area of
5.7 square kilometers and is fed by River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the
Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the
lake
HITEC CITY
HITEC City is a busy tech industry hub. It's filled with office parks and served by
Indian, Italian, and BBQ restaurants, as well as lounge bars and fast-food
outlets, clustered mainly around Hitech City Main Road. Shilparamam is a
crafts village displaying and selling work by artisans from around India, and
home to a sculpture park and museum. The Shilpakala Vedika convention venue
also hosts music and comedy.
GOLKONDA
Golkonda, also known as Golconda, Gol konda, or Golla konda, is a citadel and
fort in Southern India and was the capital of the medieval sultanate of the Qutb
Shahi dynasty, is situated 11 km west of Hyderabad. It is also a tehsil of
Hyderabad district, Telangana, India

CMR Technical Campus was established in 2009, sponsored by CMR
Technical Education Society with a vision and mission of imparting
quality technical education to the deserving and meritorious students.

ABOUT THE HOSTING DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the
year 2009 starting from the inception of the college offering four
years full time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The
Department of Mechanical Engineering functions with the prime goal
of imparting the sound mechanical engineering education, advance
the understanding and application of mechanical engineering
principles, enhance the development of the Nation, and improve the
quality of life of society through teaching, research, and outreach
programs. The Department is accredited by NBA (National Board of
Accreditation). The Department has highly qualified and dedicated
faculty members and good ambience for research in the areas of
Alternative fuels, Surface Engineering, Tribology, Composite
Materials and CAD/CAM/CAE. The Department has conducted many
guest lectures, workshops, faculty development programs, short term
training courses besides undertaking funded projects from various
sectors.
CONFERENCE THEME
The First International conference on Advanced Lightweight Materials and Structures
(ICALMS-2020) aims to bring together academicians, leading scientists, Industrialists,
researchers and students, in a common forum to share their experiences and research
results on all aspects of advanced light-weight materials, structures and its various
applications. The conference theme for the ICALMS 2020 is “Innovations & Future
Trends in the era of advanced composites”, with the objective of exploring the latest
research into composite materials and how they will be used in the future covering
multiple applications including aerospace, construction, wind energy, automotive,
electronics and so on. Leading experts from India and abroad would be sharing their
experience and expectations in this conference.
