1.0 Projects:

M/s Gail (India) Limited has awarded to M/s. NRP projects Limited (Infrastructure Division), a
contract for laying 16/1 dia. HDD for BANAS river crossing total 2.2 Km long in length.

2.0 Purpose:

This procedure is intended to lay guidelines and requirements and to establish a method
or a system to control the Incoming Material Inspection to be used in the PERMANENT
MITIGATION MEASURE OF PIPE EXPOSED IN BANAS RIVER CROSSING AND ADJACENT
AREA OF JAM NAGAR LONI LPG PIPELINE PROJECT.

3.0 Reference:

a. Tractebel Technical Specification- P.012220 R11050 001.

b. Reference Codes

4.0 Inspection:

The Jointly Inspection report shall be made with NRP and TE/GAIL and send it at site as the

accepted material for use.

Inspection shall be done with the all necessary tools, measuring instrument etc.

5.0 Methodology:­

The following actions shall be under taken with regards to the receipt and inspection of
incoming material.

a. Review of list of material supplied with respect to the packing list and packing.

b. Check the availability of release note.

c. Check the identification mark for co-relation.

d. Inspect material visually.

In case, the material do not pass the acceptance criteria (if found damaged, not conforming to
the specification or having no identification mark etc) then, the material shall be considered
non-conforming. The deficiency shall be intimated in writing to the vendor/ supplier under
intimation to TE/GAIL

e. Generation of material inspection report and record keeping shall be the responsibility of
Store In-Charge/QA/QC Engineer.

f. No material shall be allowed to be used in the job unless the material inspection report is
received and material incoming inspection report is generated with the acceptance.

g. Non- acceptable/ rejected material shall be stacked separately with proper identification and
disposed off as early as possible.

h. NRP shall take action for re-procurement/repair/replacement of the rejected material under
intimation of TE/GAIL.

Material such as Welding electrodes, Cement etc. shall be additionally tested for their
properties as per code/ specification requirements before of its use in the works.

Where incoming material has to be released on urgent basis, it shall be positively identified
and recorded in order to permit immediate recall and replacement in the event of non­
conformance to specified requirements.

Note: ­ NRP shall be submitting certificate and MTC wherever required.
