Working as a Engineering Geologist , performed following activities:
Job Responsibilities  Geological mapping and supervision of tunnel support work.
 Supervising pre excavation grouting of headrace tunnels being
excavated by drill & blast method at river crossing section, 175m
below river bed to;
 Stop catastrophic inflows with hydrostatic pressure and flow
rates reaching up to 18 bars and 10,000 liter/minute
respectively.
 Enhance the Rock Tunneling Quality Index (Q-Value) in the
close proximity of an active Thrust Fault (Muzaffarabad Fault
last activated in 2005 with magnitude 7.6 earthquake).
 Supervising the pre-excavation grouting trials conducted in TBM
tunnels.
 Preparation of layout for grout holes in excessive water ingress
zones.
 Supervising the Hydrojacking Tests conducted in headrace
tunnels at Jhelum Valley crossing with min. 175m over burden to
analyze insitu stresses for internal pressure (420m gross head)
of water in tunnels.
 Quality assurance to enhance the safety of tunnels.
 Data summarizing and preparation of reports.
 Technical co-ordination between Client, Contractor and
Consultant.
 Review of contractor’s method statements for different grouting
and testing operations.
 Supervision of core and percussion probing to analyze the
ground condition ahead of tunnel face.
 Preparation of geological maps ahead and behind the tunnel
 face.
 Contact grouting of tunnel lining to minimize the effect of
hydrostatic pressure of external water during water inrush at the
time of dewatering for maintenance operations.
 Consolidation grouting of surrounding strata in poor ground
conditions.
 Curtain Grouting along dam crest on Dam site.
 Preparation of technical reports and correspondence with client
and contractor.

Working as a Geotechnical Engineer on Rock fill Dam, performed

following activities:

 Supervision of fill placement Material i.e. Impervious Clay for

core.
 Supervision of compaction of clay by Pad foot roller (18tonn)
& filters.
 Performed FDT on clay for checking results of compaction.
 Conducted laboratory Test for Engineering properties of clay
i.e. Sieve analysis, Liquid limit, Plastic limit, Plasticity Index &
Standard proctor Test.
 Quality assurance to enhance the safety of Dam.
 Data summarizing and preparation of reports.
 Technical co-ordination between Client, Contractor and
Consultant.
 Review of contractor’s method statements for different
working and testing operations.
