 IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE CHOICE PROFORMA

1. Exercising the choice of institute:

You have to first decide which institute you want to study at, and then give the
choice of branches within that institute only. Please note that multiple institute
choices are not permitted.
2. Exercising the branch Choices and allocation of Seats
▪ A CANDIDATE CAN OPT FOR ONE INSTITUTE ONLY OUT OF THE FOUR.
▪ A Candidate can opt for all branches of his/her selected institute in order of
priority.
▪ It is not mandatory for the Candidate to fill all choices available in selected
institute. Candidate should fill up only those codes in the choice form in which
he/she is interested.
▪ Code should be filled very carefully, before the candidate presents himself /
herself before the Branch Allocation Desk.
▪ If a code of a particular Branch is not filled, the candidate will not be admitted
in that branch even if the seats are available at the time of counseling or later.
▪ Once a branch of higher choice is allocated, the candidate shall forfeit his/her
right for allotment of a branch of lower choice.
▪ The candidates will be allotted the program/branch on the basis of preferences
indicated in the choice form strictly in order of overall merit obtained in Overall
All India JEE (Main) Rank-2019.
▪ The candidates shall have the option of up gradation in programs/branches as
per the priority exercised in the Choice Form within the allotted institute only.
3. Process for Wait list in the Program/Branch
▪ In the event of vacancies arising in the waitlisted programs/branches of his / her
choice, the program /Branch allotted to the candidate shall be upgraded
automatically as per priority in the choice form.
▪ Freezing the Choice - The candidate can give an option in writing for freezing
the up-gradation process after taking admission, any time before the up
gradation is carried out. Any request by candidate after up gradation is
announced, for retaining the original program/branch previously allotted, shall
not be accepted.
▪ The up-gradation shall generally be carried out periodically, as per the
availability of seats due to withdrawals. The dates of such up-gradation process
will be notified on the Institute website The students must view the website
regularly.
