Abstract
This research aims to investigate the value of bond strength, development length, and to know the
failure pattern of the specimen. The method used is pullout test using ASTM C234-91a standard.
This research divided into two steps, the first step is to get the value of bond strength and developent
length, then the second step is to test development length that obtained from the first step. The
specimen in the first step is cube concrete with size 200 x 200 x 200 mm, in the center of the cube is
embedded reinforcement and grouting. Beside the monolith concrete with reinforcement made as
compared. The specimen in the second step, the specimen is concrete with size 200 x 200 x ld (mm),
precisely in the center of square concrete embedded reinforcement and grouting. Moreover, the
monolith with reinforcement made as compared. The value of development length to become three
variations, such as less than (<), equal (=), and more than (>) development length. Bond strength in
monolith specimen is less than grouting specimen with Smart NS. There are two failure pattern
happened to specimen that are slippage reinforcement and rupture steel failure.
