Shots Fired
A method in which to ensure on-camera auditions include the most vibrant and visual
storytelling

 Every bit of dialogue is broken into action/reaction (shot fired)

 The actor identifies which character’s dialogue is action and reaction
 The actor practices breath in listening (inhale/exhale)
 If sending the action the actor fully commits and then specifically checks in with the
other character to see if the action landed
 If receiving the action (reaction) through breath and truthful storytelling the actor
visible receives the action and then responds accordingly
 This continues throughout the scene

Special note

 The action/reaction sequence should ideally be in all the work an actor does, but
this method is about highlighting incredibly important moments in an audition
