APPLICATION FOR RECLASSIFICATION OF HEAD TEACHER

AND MASTER TEACHER POSITIONS

1.In order to increase school personnel to assist the School Principal in the delivery of effective
administration and supervision, this Office hereby commences the acceptance of applications for
reclassification of Head Teacher and Master Teacher positions.

2. The school's Human Resource Merit, Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) shall evaluate
the applications based on the following parameters for each position and these shall be required in
the processing of the reclassification and upgrading of position:

a. On the Allocation Requirement

Elementary Master Teacher I
Master Teacher Il
Secondary Master Teacher I
Master Teacher II
Head Teacher 1
Head Teacher 11
Head Teacher III
Head Teacher IV
Head Teacher V
Head Teacher VI
Requirement
10% of the total number of the teaching position
in the district;
6.6 % are Master Teacher I
3.4% are Master Teacher II
5 to7 teaching position per learning area
6 to 7 teachers to be supervised under learning
area
Minimum of 21 teachers to be supervised under
learning area

b. On the Teaching Load Requirement

Master Teacher I and Master Teacher II shall be given full teaching loads, except those with special
projects or researches, in which case a minimum of four (4) teaching loads shall be given. (DepEd
Order No. 39 s. 1990.)

All advisorship and/or special assignments for the entire school year combined shall be considered
as one teaching load. (DepEd Order No. 291 s. 2008)

 c. Other Requirement

The incumbent shall be promoted through reclassification of the incumbent's plantilla item who
meet the requirements but without vacancy existing for a higher level position in the Personal
Services Itemization of Plantilla Position (PSIPOP) in the school.
> With a Teacher III position in the reclassification for Head Teacher I and Master Teacher I
With approved ERF in the reclassification for Head Teacher II to Head Teacher VI

3. All applications duly indorsed by the School Principal are requested to submit on or before
July 22, 2019. Long folder with proper labelling according to the checklist of requirements is
required.

4. Only applications which completed the required documents and are submitted on the specified
timeframe shall be recommended for reclassification for CY 2019. Otherwise, applications shall be
considered on the next cut-off date.

5. The checklist of requirements for the positions is attached, for your information and guidance.
