Installation and Wiring Connection of Automatic Rescue Device (ARD) type ST-TL

1. Installation

(1).There are bolt holes in the back of ARD cabinet. And bolts type M8 (ST-TL01) / M12 (ST-

TL02) can be used to fix the cabinet through the holes. For lift with small machine room or

machine room-less lift, L angle irons can be used to fix the cabinet.

(2). There are holes for wiring connection between ARD and elevator at the side of ARD cabinet.

2．Wiring Connection Illustration

(1) iring Connection between Elevator and ARD includes two parts: Power Supply Circuit and

Control Circuit, for details refer to wiring diagram No.1 and No.2

(2) onnecting Cable:

Power Supply Cable-to connect Power Supply Circuit (T01、T03) Control

Cable- to connect Control Circuit （T02、T04）

Ⅱ．ADJUSTMENT

1. Please make sure the elevator runs normally before connected with ARD

2. Please charge the UPS of ARD firstly

2.1 Then disconnect main power of elevator

2.2 Conduct wiring connection between Elevator Control System and ARD according to Wiring

Diagram No.1

2.3 Check again, and make sure the correct connection between Elevator Control System and

ARD.

2.4 After that, turn on the auto-switch QF of ARD, and then connect the main power of elevator

2.5 Charge the ARD 12 hours

3. Joint adjustment
3.1 Make the elevator run by operating the Manual Control Device in Controller Cabinet.

3.2 Disconnect the main power of elevator when the elevator is at non-leveling Zone

3.3 Then the ARD will start working automatically in 10 seconds (or 0.3~30s adjustable)

3.4 If the elevator stops at non-leveling zone, the ARD will drive the elevator at inspection speed

to the nearest floor and open the door to release passengers .

The ARD will open the door directly to release passengers if the elevator stops at leveling zone

already. ,

3.5 After emergency operation, ARD will stop working and return to BACK UP state.

Ⅲ．Notes

1.Please do not turn off the auto-switch QF when the ARD is emergency operation.

2.The elevator and ARD must be grounded well

3.In adjustment procedure, if power supply of ARD need to be turned off, you should turn off the

auto-switch QF firstly, then turn off the switch of external power supply of elevator, and lastly

break the line T03.

4.In adjustment or maintenance, if you want to change lines or accessories of ARD, please turn off

the auto-switch QF firstly, and then turn off the switch of external power supply of elevator.

5.If the ARD won’t be used temporarily, please charge it per 4~6 months to avoid damage to the

battery.
