Information about opening a savings account of JP Bank

文部科学省の奨学金を受け取るためには、ゆうちょ銀行口座の開設が必要です。

大阪大学では 10 月に渡日する国費留学生に対して、以下のとおり大学内でゆうちょ銀行口座開設を実施いた

します。個人でゆうちょ銀行で開設せず、 必 ずご参加ください。

ご不明な点等ありましたら、学生交流推進課学生交流企画係までご連絡ください。

The MEXT scholarship students have to open a Postal Savings Account of JP Bank ( NOT at
other banks）in order to receive the MEXT scholarship. We will hold “Opening a Postal Savings
Account of JP Bank” at Osaka University for the MEXT scholarship students who will enroll in
our university in this October as follows. Please be sure not to go and open your savings
account at JP Bank by yourself.

ゆうちょ 銀行 口座の 開設には、 以下のものが 必要であるため、 当日までにすべてを 準備しておいてください 。
The following items are necessary in order to open a Postal Savings Account, please be sure to
get them by the day.

１．在留カードとコピー Residence Card　& its copies (both sides)
２．パスポートとコピー Passport & its copies (pages of pictures and landing permission on)

３. はんこまたは本人のサイン Seal/Name stamp or your signature

４. 税務番号（アメリカ国籍もしくはアメリカで 出 生した者のみ）
　　Social Security number（Only who are U.S. citizens or were born in the U.S ）

なお、やむを得ない理由により欠席される場合には、 必 ず学生交流推進課学生交流企画係までご連絡ください。

また、欠席の場合には、各自郵便局にて口座開設の手続きを行い、10 月5 日（月）までに通帳を所属部局に

期限までに 持参できない 場合には、 奨学 金の 支給が 11 月 半ばまで 遅れますので、 予 めご 了 承 願います。

In case you are unable to attend, never forget to let us know. You are to open a savings
account at JP Bank on your own and bring the bankbook to the office of your school/graduate
school by October 5 (Mon.). If you miss the deadline, please kindly understand that the
payment of your scholarship will be delayed to the middle of November.

2 Starting procedures (Filling in and checking the documents)
3 Document check by JP bank officers
4 Giving your account information sheet to all of you (You will receive information such as
“Furigana” for your name and your Postal Savings Account number)

【Flow of Oct. 8】

4 Giving your account information sheet to all of you (You will receive information such as
“Furigana” for your name and your Postal Savings Account number)
※ It will take 3～5 hours to complete all procedures.
※ For students who don’t complete your procedures at City Hall by noon on Oct. 5, please go
to City Hall for your necessary procedures to prepare all of the necessary documents to
open your Postal Savings Account, instead of attending the registration at school, and
attend the Postal Savings Account registration on Oct. 8.
※ For students who can’t attend the registration on Oct. 5, please be at Lecture room #5 & #6,
2nd floor, IC Hall, Suita Campus at 1:30PM on Oct. 8 to complete all procedures within one
day.
