I have decided to do experiment with my ideas of the front cover photos and the
contents page photos by conducting an experiment photoshoot to see what works and
what doesn’t. pictures (1&2) are some practice shots of my mode posing as singer Billie 6
Eilish, when taking these photos for the magazine, I intended them to be for the
contents page, showing the singer in a relaxed state and using direct mode of address
hooks the reader into the story straight away. In pictures (3,4&5) I intended these
photos to be experiments for my front cover of one of the magazines. Personally I really
like the co-ordination of the colour’s and think that its eye-catching and creates a visual
brand identity. To improve this I would either try and change the background colour,
maybe to an orange or pink, making the colour theme stand out more and would also
get the model showing her artists personality in a more explicit way, I will do this by
either getting her to use bigger facial expressions or use her gestures in a certain way.

Photos (6,7&8) are the other three photos that I intended to be in my contents page.
The 6th photo is representing the artist Billie Eilish to be having an interview which is in
relation to one of my contents page stories. I have used the mise-en-scene so in this
photo I have created a backstage set up, showing the equipment needed for the
interview, I have again used the brand identity by co-ordiating the colour of the clothes
to the background and I feel this works really well in the process. The 7th picture
represents the summer and festivals and relates to one of my stories on music festivals.
Personally I really like the choice of clothes and accessories that I have chosen for this
image and by using the flowers in the hair and sunglasses creates the automatic theme
of summer, friends and festivals. The 8th image for my contents page was used as a

product advertisement, this is selling the musical equipment that people can have to
have that perfect music lifestyle with all the latest technology. I really like the lighting of
this image and the colour theme along with it as the all black makes the white
headphones stand out even more. To improve, I would get the model to turn more to
the side so the audience could see the brand of the headphones and making that more
the selling point rather than the person.
