Group Activity/Task:

1. Divide the class into six (6). The groups will be assigned to tackle and share within themselves the assigned five
articles from the Universal Declarations of Human Rights.

2. After group sharing, let the groups present their assigned articles by means of a dramatization and the other
groups who serves as the audience will guess what human right is being violated or described.

Day 2 – Multi - Sectoral Symposium on the Issues of Human Rights, Dignity and Common Good

Objectives:
1. Discuss the local and national human rights issues in the Philippines.
2. Formulate a plan of action for the advocacy of human rights, dignity and common good.
3. Present a position paper defending human rights and dignity.

Audience: SH students, women’s group, religious group representative, local government representative, Youth organizations,
PNP group

Projected Output:

III. PRACTICE

Conduct a debate in the class. Group them and let groups have a discussion and debate on one of the following topics:
O Should human rights always outweigh religious rights?
O Is the Death Penalty ever morale?
O Abortion: Human Right or Human Right Violation
O Justice: What’s the right thing to do? “The Moral Side of Murder”

IV. ENRICHMENT
Conduct an FGD with persons who survived the Martial Law era under the Marcos administration.
