Dear parishioners and visitors,
Thank you for the warm welcome as I come to
be the new pastor here at Holy Family Parish.
First, I want to thank Fr. James Weighner for all
the great work he has done. He really accom-
plished much while he was here. Forming two
parishes into one is a herculean task in it-
self. We want to continue the great work he
started and build upon this great foundation.
He is presently pastor of two parishes in a clus-
ter in the Marshfield Deanery at which I was
pastor for sixteen years from 1995-2011. We
wish him our very best and prayers.
Second, I come to you after being the rector of
the Cathedral in La Crosse for eight
years. When the Bishop had asked me last
month if I would consider coming to Prairie du
Chien, it didn’t take me very long to say yes
after prayer and reflection. I am afraid I don’t
know much about this area of the diocese but I
will come to know it well as I am happy to be
with you. I do ask for your prayers and support
to Fr. David Bruener who was to come but re-
quested a medical and personal leave.
I look forward to meeting you in the next
weeks. Let us pray and support one another in
the Catholic Faith, and ask for the Lord’s bless-
ings upon us all.

BREWERS BUS TRIP
Our server baseball outing is being opened
up to all parishioners. If you would like to
participate in this fun filled day with many fellow
parishioners, please contact Ken or Mary Stoeffler or
the parish office soon. Any student younger than 4th
grade must be accompanied by a parent.
The date is set for Wednesday, August 14th, 2019
Brewers vs. Minnesota Twins. The bus will leave from
St. John’s School Parking Lot at 7:30 am. Game time
is 1:10 pm. Cost is $15.00 for students and $30.00 for
adults (no refunds if you pay and decide not to go.)
Price includes bus ride, game ticket, tailgating before
the game and sandwiches/chips/dessert/beverage for
the bus ride home. We will ask each family for some
food donations for the meal on the bus coming home.
Everybody attending the trip will need to fill out a
diocesan permission slip (students & adults). We will
hand these permission slips out once we have the
completed registration form & payment. Registration
forms can be picked up in the back of churches by the
Scrip Table . If you have questions call Ken or Mary
