REVISION
Well, the JEE Main in 40 Days book must have served quite well as a resource to revise the
already completed chapters. With the exam to be conducted in a week, it’s high time to start
revising all the Formulas from Ready Reckoner, Important Questions from JMin40D and
Analysis from MOCK TESTS. Keep them handy in A4 Sheets and go as many times as you can
before there is sufficient time.
REMEMBER : Revision is the key to a maximized score !

FOCUS TOPICS
With the exam in a few days, a lot of students might be jostling in thoughts of chaos as to which
chapters to focus on. In such a moment of rush, it is very important to be able to see what can
be the most beneficial and eventually aim at it. The thumb rule now is to focus solely on the
2

high weightage chapters excluding the ones you are highly uncomfortable in.

REMEMBER : Concentrate more on the topics of your forte & avoid new topics strictly !

MOCK TESTS
This is the deal, the real deal - if you haven’t yet attempted them, straightaway attempt one
once you are finished with this article. Also remember to simulate the exam situations i.e, create
your exam environment as it would be in the exam hall along with the exact time ! , also the
time, yes! The more your body is acquainted with the situation, the easier it will be for you in
exam to make comebacks when you feel pressure in the exam hall.

REMEMBER : Simulate to Succeed !

NAIL WITH ACCURACY

The mistake that we all do after attempting a mock test is to just see the score and taking away
either hope or disappointment. Amidst this, we miss a very important aspect - outlining the
mistakes and writing them down so that your mistake remains a mistake and do not become a
costly habit where it matters the most.

REMEMBER : Analyse your Mock Tests and write down the mistakes.

LOG OF CONCEPTS
Make a checklists of all the recurring concepts in the exam. A day before when everybody would
be confused with what to do, you can be calm and just finish the very important ones and relax !

REMEMBER : Make a log of the most important lessons.

PICK YOUR CLUES

The solution of the question that you does not matter as much as the clue that leads to the
answer. Let’s admit it! JEE is no board exam and the questions if not all of it, will definitely
require fresh approach at times. Write down important clues and constantly look for them in
3

similar questions.

REMEMBER : The more clues you have in your arsenal, the faster you will go through the
paper.

TIME MANAGEMENT
The most important aspect that every teacher, every aspirant who made it takes care to
mentions, yes, there are no two ways to it - it’s the LORD : TIME. It’s the ability to focus on
what you are good at rather than worrying about your weak links determines how far you will go
in the exam. Trying to score all the 360 marks can be a sureshot way to failure, well that doesn’t
mean nobody does, infact we have a living manifestation of it KALPIT. However, don’t be stupid
unless you are a KALPIT. Before probing into attempting the paper, do figure out how many
questions you will be able to attend. Just go through the paper once before actually answering !

REMEMBER : IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN, YOU PLAN TO FAIL.

CHOOSE YOUR SUBJECT

This is no secret that we all are strong at one or two subjects when compared to the other. This
is your key to decode the treasure. Start with the subject that can help your attitude reach the
culmination of confidence, a subject which you are so prepared to face that, you can’t wait
enough to peep the questions. Start with it followed by the second favourite. Meanwhile, don’t
forget to attempt the easy questions even it belongs to your least favourite subject.

REMEMBER : Pick your subject and embrace it.

BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT

The exam is beyond practicing questions, clarifying concepts. All that matters is what you do in
those 3 hours, no matter how you have spent your entire span of preparation. The last few days
are the most vital and there is no one who can dispute it by an inch. The last few days are
better off without intense preparation or over-thinking. This is the time for the last stroke - the
final revision. Practice mindfulness from Headspace instead of getting confused of which app
to use. You will receive 10 free lessons and that will be more than enough. Practice to check your
4

breath. Yes, there won’t be drastic changes in the marks but trust me on this, a few tweaks can
do wonder.

REMEMBER : Your breath controls your temperament, read with utmost attention !
