S.Y. 2018-2019

II. ABSTRACT:

The researcher conduct this research because we want to know the essentials of the
assessment of the room. The researcher must know the benefits given by the
evaluation of room. We wanna know if the students are making efforts to make the room
more pleasing. Conducting a survey that ask student according of the evaluation of
room.

III. INTRODUCTION:

The Paliparan National High School Principal Gregoria Mendoza implemented a

project about decoration of classroom. This project is implemented to help the students
have a neat and comfortable environment while studying. ACCORDING to LCS, a
cleaning company in UK says that having a clean classroom gives you a better Learning
Environment – The most important benefit of a clean classroom is the fact that it
maximizes the learning experience of the students.
According to studies that have been carried out, dirty environments negatively
impact the learning of students and in turn, the overall performance in the classroom.
Also a study conducted by the three psychologist in Carnegie Mellon University (CMU),
decorating classroom can affect the student's ability to take focus in studying.
Classroom decorations boosts the student's capabilities on learning. It helps the
students keep focused and feel comfortable during discussions. They also found that
too much decorations in classroom can also distract students. They remember less
information than when the student's classroom is not so fancy

This paper aims to answer the following questions regarding classroom evaluation.

1. What are the effects of classroom evaluation to the grade 10 students of PNHS?
2. Is classroom evaluation helpful to maintain school's cleanliness and orderliness?
IV. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

In decorating the classroom, various problems can be encountered. One of the

problem we encounter is the lack of budget. In some cases, the adviser is the one who
burden all the expenses and students have a contribution to pay back the adviser.
Too much decoration in classroom can distract students.
They focus on decoration display instead of listening during discussion. Also,
decorating the classroom takes too much time and it consume the time for the lessons.
We conduct this research because we wanted to know if the students are getting
motivation from this.

V. METHODOLOGY

The survey research methods was used, for us to gather relevant information in this
study. The used method helps us, the researcher, to interpret the response of selected
grade ten s10 students. Also, to develop our hypothesis for the said high school. The
respondents of Paliparan National High School answer the questions utilized from our
questionaires. This helps us to collect and gather quantitative and qualitative data.

VI. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

This study is conducted to know the capability of grade 10 mid-shift students

regarding to the evaluation of the room decoration. Also, to know the effectiveness of
this decoration to them. If this motivate them and help them and do more efforts inside
the classroom.

VII. PROCEDURES

We provided the questions to be asked to our respondents. The answer to this

question was detailed enough for any reader to understand. We made two
categories, one will be answered as a student and one as an officer. The survey
forms was distributed to grade 10 classrooms of midshift class. It was answered by
atleast five officers per section. There were four choices that will be marked by a
check in the table. This process was done by six sections in total.

IX. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The Classroom Evaluation is not a hindrance on the learning process of Midshift
G10 Student especially on classroom officer. This conclusion shows that most of the
students participants had a positive reaction towards the project implemented by the
school principal of Paliparan National High School. As for them, the project help them as
a student leader to be responsible on maintaining their classroom clean and organize.
However, least number of students participate the survey says that classrom evaluation
is somewhat affecting their learning process as a student negatively. We discovered
that students officers liked decorating the classroom even if it is time consuming. As
long as it helps their room look great.
