Name:

1. Draw the ray diagram for an object placed 50 cm away from a normal human eye (f ≈ 17 mm) and
label the image location as the retina.

2. Now, draw a ray diagram showing a hypermetropic eye using the same object distance and lens focal
length as above. Make sure to include the original position of the retina, and its new position.

3. Finally, add an optical device in front of this hypermetropic eye to correct for this and redraw the ray
diagram.
