Engine brake solenoid valve 2 - task
Engine brake solenoid valve 2 - function
Engine brake solenoid valve 2 (Y2) is
located, together with engine brake solenoid
valve 1 (Y1) and the rear axle interwheel
differential lock solenoid valve (Y15), on the
driver-side at the rear of the entrance, next
to the steering oil reservoir.
Engine brake solenoid valve 2 (Y2) controls
the position of the engine brake flap over a
working cylinder.
Actuation by the drive control (FR) control
unit opens the solenoid valve and controls
compressed air to the working cylinder on
the engine brake flap which closes off the
exhaust pipe.
