New Initiative :

Ideation & Execution + Potential Impact:

The idea is to regularly collate information and outputs of research and Industry insights from
Professors and Alumni at IIM B, who are renowned in their fields. This information is to be shared in
the form of articles daily with the audience of the social media platforms. Currently, both the official
accounts on facebook give the world a peek into what happens on the campus. This idea warrants
creation of a separate pages on social media along with a well-maintained website with a suggested
name of ‘IIM B Management Updates’ or ‘IIM B Management Review’ (a journal of the name already
exists). Currently published content such as the one show in the picture below can be collated along
with regular special contributions / podcasts from Professors on new Research as well as basic
concepts of subjects such as Marketing explained in a nutshell (short videos).

This idea is meant as a brand-building exercise for the college. IIM B has a chance to be a nodal centre
for knowledge dissemination on Management Research and Industry Insights in India, as even IIM A
does not have an initiative like this. It has the potential to make a mark on Management Education in
the country as students from many Tier-II and Tier-III B-Schools will be benefitted from the knowledge
dissemination. An immediate step for execution after the creation of this platform press release /
dissemination of information to mainstream media about the creation of this platform along with
emails to Tier-2 and Tier-3 Management Schools in South East Asia about our initiative with a request
to spread the message amongst the student community. For this, an action item suggested is Search
Engine Optimization (SEO) exercise for the new website so launched, targeted advertising (paid

advertisements) for Management students across the country. The proposed execution plan is:

Proposed Collaborations:

1. MASH : Social Media Marketing contest on a pan-India basis for all Management Schools. The
participants would have to create business pages on popular social media sites, create a
product/service and generate relevant leads for the product/service through advertising
campaigns. The contestants would be judged on an estimated RoI of the advertisements,
precision of targeting etc.,
2. AlumCom, ENI and NSRCEL: To promote start-ups of IIM B alumni on our platforms. The intent
is to serve the Alumni of our esteemed institution through a promotion of their products /
services online.
