a Mobile Application to Help Visually Impaired Individuals Explore the Outdoors August

2016, The goal of this study was to understand further the navigational needs of visually

impaired individuals and to develop a mid-fidelity prototype to address these needs.

This study aims to present a mobile application that can integrate real-time updates for

individuals navigating outdoors, an integrating user-provided updates with static trail

information in a format that caters to all users. The usability testing of the study showed

visually impaired users made few errors using the application.

Moreover, the research study of Worcester Polytechnic Institiute in “A Mobile

Application for Reducing Skiing Injuries” an Interactive Qualifying Project Report from

May 14,2018 , The study analyzes the methods s for reducing skiing injuries such as

requiring safer trail construction and maintenance, improving the current trail rating

system, and a mobile application informing users about trail hazards. Providing skiers

and snowboarders information should reduce injuries. Skiing injuries will not occur

without the removal of the injury mechanisms, which cannot be accomplished through a

mobile application . The research determine the effectiveness of reducing injuries by

providing more information to skiers and snowboarders.

Online: 27 September 2018, This study attempts to evaluate the mobile usability of a

Car Grab application. This car Grab application is prominently used in South East Asia

to assist commuters seeking for transportation services. The usability evaluation was

carried out at University Utara Malysia, UUM, using 20 student participants as users.

Parthasarathi and Maxime Veron ,” Identifying and locating users on a mobile network

of 2011, the study aims to show of locating friends with the use of mobile devices

connected to a network and associated with a user account. The method of the

research includes sending a request to a mobile device, the mobile device determining

its present geographic location and responding to the requestor with this information.

This information may be in the form of a coordinate location such as a GPS location or it

may be in the form of a name that the mobile device owner assigned to a particular

area. In findings of the author, Mobile devices have been adapted to a wide variety of

applications, including computing, communication, and entertainment. Through recent

improvements, mobile devices can now also determine their geographic location by

either using a built-in global position system (GPS) antenna or extrapolating its location
from the signals it receives through the network of fixed-location cellular antennas.

Thus, a user may be able to use the mobile device to determine a location

All studies have different purposes in creating their own mobile applications. Some wants to
give people a guide, some wants to inform people of their surrounding and, some wants to make
transportation easier and reliable. Although they may differ there, they still have similarities and that
one is to make people’s lives easier. Their goal is to innovate things in a reliable way and that is to make
use of mobile applications in order to make changes in the society.
