One type of the essential tools in English language classroom is book.


Book contains of certain material that helps students to develop and increase
their competency through teaching learning process.
The formulation of research problem of this research is: What is
teacher’s and student’s English book that is appropriate to be applied in second
grade of accounting program in vocational high school?
The purpose of this research is to know the kinds of teacher’s and
student’s English book that appropriate to apply in second grade of accounting
program in vocational high school.
The Research Method applied in this research is: 1) Research and
Development by modifying ADDIE model, 2) The subject of the tri-out of this
research is selected by using purposive sampling, the subject of try-out is one
class of second grade accounting program (2AK2) at SMKN 1 Boyolangu
consisting of 40 students , 3) the research instruments are validity sheets,
Document, Questionnaire, Interview guide, 4) the data analysis is changing
data that taken from validation sheet and questionnaire into percentage, then
categorize the data, and interpreting data descriptively.
This research found teacher’s and student’s book using authentic
material that have been developed was proper to apply in second grade of
accounting program based on the result of validation sheet for teacher book
which is 82.03% placing it in “very proper” quality criteria and 80.17% for
student’s book placing in “proper” quality criteria. The result of validation
sheet also support with the result of questionnaire that the percentage of all
items in four aspects, presentation, language properness, content, and the
effect of the media, stated in “good” criteria with percentage criteria in 61%-
80% except for the question number 1and 2 that have percentage criteria in
90% and 95% categorized in “very good” criteria.

Salah satu alat yang digunakan di dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris


adalah buku. Buku berisi beberapa materi yang dapat membantu siswa untuk
mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kompetensinya melalui proses belajar
mengajar.
Rumusan masalah di dalam penelitian ini adalah : Buku bahasa Inggris
bagi guru dan siswa seperti apa yang sesuai untuk diterapkan kepada siswa
akuntansi kelas 2 SMK?
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis buku bahasa
Inggris guru dan siswa seperti apa yang sesuai untuk diterapkan kepada siswa
akuntansi kelas 2 SMK.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah : 1)
Penelitian dan Pengembangan dengan memodifikasi model penelitian dan
pengembangan ADDIE, 2) subjek percobaan di dalam penelitian ini dipilih
secara sengaja yaitu satu kelas siswa akuntasi (2AK2) di SMKN 1 Boyolangu
yang berisi 40 siswa, 3) instrumen yang diguanakan di dalam penelitian ini
adalah kertas validasi, dokumen, angket dan panduan wawancara, 4) analisis
data di dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengubah data yang di dapatkan melalui
angket dan kertas validasi kedalam bentuk persentase kemudian dikategorikan
dan diintrepretasikan secara deskriptif.
Di dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa buku bahasa
Inggris guru dan siswa yang telah dikembangkan menggunakan materi otentik
layak untuk diterapkan untuk kelas 2 akuntansi berdasarkan persentase hasil
kertas validasi untuk buku guru, sebanyak 82.03% yang dapat dikategorikan di
dalam kategori kualitas “sangat layak” dan 80.17% untuk buku siswa yang
menempatkannya di dalam kategori kualitas “layak”. Hasil dari kertas validasi
juga didukung oleh hasil angket yang prosentase semua butir pertanyaan di
dalam keempat aspeknya yang memuat aspek tampilan, aspek bahasa, aspek
isi dan aspek efek media dapat dikategorikan pada kriteria “bagus” dengan
prosentase antara 61% sampai 80% kecuali untuk butir pertanyaan nomor 1
dan 2 yang memiliki prosentase 90% dan 95% yang berada pada kriteria
“sangat bagus”.
